My dad bought me a Lamaze one - yes expensive around $100 at the time - for DS#1 - but it has also been used for DD, my nephew, my niece and back to me again now with DS#2 - they all loved it. It is soft and foldsup with carry straps - like someone else said I would take this to friends houses who I knew didn't have toys, or kids etc.

...he, he,h e i think most baby things are overpriced and ridiculous.....people pay it i suppose. There have been some great suggestions on here.....i love deals direct. For the amount of time they use it, sorry, just cant justify paying $100+.....Does anyone else think the price of baby playmats/playgyms is ridiculous?

Deals Direct is awesome! I also found another site called Crazy Sales, both have some great savings on baby stuff and homewares - ooooh love the homewares!

Toys R Us sell a mat and a play gym for $20. We bought it recently for DD when our other hand me down broke. Its a really nice big mat and play gym.. worth having a look.

I like Toys r us..but I live too far away from it. And whenever I have gone to buy any of their sales items...they are gone already.
