What do baby hiccups feel like?

I'm just wondering, cause I think I may have felt them this morning. I was lying in bed, and it just felt like the baby was moving, but it was too regular and consistent (every 5 secs or so) to be a normal movement. It lasted for about 3+ minutes. The movements I felt weren't really, really strong, but something was going on. I just thought that hiccups would feel a bit stronger and that I wouldn't have to question if that's what they were or not. And now, thinking about it, I have felt this kind of thing before.

Is this the baby's hiccups? What do/did the baby's hiccups feel like for you?

When my little one hiccups it is a consistent kick in the same spot every couple of seconds lasting a few minutes like you say. He gets them every couple of days and it drives me bonkers when I am sleeping and they start

Yep when i was preg with Bianca she used to get them ALL the time - and it was like a constant kick in the same spot only a few seconds apart, but would last for at least 15mins! and to this day she STILL gets them and they STILL last for ages! DH used to be able to feel them also - or if i put something like the remote control on my belly u could see it move with the hiccups - I loved it! Its sooooo cute!

Oh, cool! I wasn't sure, cause I'd heard that it was more like your whole belly doing a big spasm, but this was much more subtle! And yeah, it was in the same place! That's so funny and cute! I'll have to keep an eye out (well, feel) for them from now on.

Certainly a 'rythmic' thing. Its hard to explain, but its like a little flinch in your stomach every 5 seconds or so. Sometimes my bub hiccups for up to half an hour Very cute for the first few minutes, but it starts to feel a bit yuk after a while - IMO!

I used to describe it as a tap-tap-tap-tapping feeling in the same spot! How gorgeous!

I knew when my DD was hiccupping when I was pregnant because it felt like hiccups that we get. I loved it but my DD got the hiccups after almost every meal that I ate and after she was born she'd get them with almost the same frequency as when I was pregnant...for the first couple of weeks that is.

lol - I did wonder for a few seconds if it was the baby's heartbeat, but then I thought that it was much too slow.

Ooooh, I so miss baby-in-belly hiccups, it was the cutest, most gorgeous feeling in the whole world and DS would get them atleast 2-3 times a day, he still does!

yep, both my children got the hiccups pretty much everyday (especially DD, every night at 10:30pm!)

Its so cute & lovely to remember when you have your baby in your arms & s/he gets the hiccups... great memories

It used to drive me nuts trying to get to sleep while bubs had them though LOL

DS2 always got the hiccups in my belly. I loved it.
I never felt DS1's hiccups though. So it was really strange at first when I felt DS2s. Lol.

Yay! What a cool feeling DD used to get them a couple of times a day both inside and out. I loved them when she was in my belly, but when she was a baby she'd always get them just before falling asleep and they'd make her wake up! Drove me nuts!

    Funny feeling isn't it.
DS was the same - hiccupped ALL the time in utero, and carried on hiccupping once born.
I had to have a few heart monitoring sessions with DS, and one time they couldn't find the heartbeat properly because he kept hiccupping the whole time.
