    faint line or evap line?

HELP! I did a f2 orelife preg tests about 4 days ago and both came back with extremely fain tlines about 15 mins after I did them. I then did a discover and it came back neg. Yesterday I did another forelife (it was a 3pack) and it came back 20min later with a fait line slightly stronger than the last 2 then I did a first responce and it came back neg. Im BF 4mth girl and a few mild symptoms. I called forelife helpline twice 1st person said it was pos the 2nd said it was prob and evap line. Can anyone help pls? Im going nuts here.

Most tests are invalid after about 10 minutes. Check the packaging for the time limit during which you need to read the test. I have had false positives after many hours.

Best of luck, I hope it is just a faint positive because you are testing so early, but be prepared for a false +.

Hi, Thanks. The instructions did say 10 mins, but I did read that sometimes if the hcg is very low then it can take longer to read pos. Im also BF my 4mth old girl, so very hormonal still. Congrats on your first bub too

i would think that its a negative because of the time elapsed after recommended waiting time. is your period late? BF can muck around with your AF a bit. test again in a few days time i reckon.

With my boy the pos line came after 20mins, and was def preg. And with my girl 2 days before I was due I got a neg then 5 days later I got a pos, and I was bleeding. I have one strange system!

    Thanks!

Has your period returned yet? Do you have any idea how long AF is due again???

I know some women think that if the hcg is low it takes longer to register a positive, but I would still remain cautious until I got a positive within the 10 minutes. I tested with this pg at 11DPO with evening pee, and got a faint positive within minutes, and the blood test at 15DPO was only 56.

Oh... welcome to BB! You might like to join the TTC (trying to conceive) while breastfeeding threads. The women in here are absolutely fab.

yeah I'd hate to say it but if you have to wait 15-20 mins for that faint second line to appear then I'm guessing they were evap lines (sorry!) With all of my positives I've only ever had to wait about 30 secs to a min, even for my very faint early ones.

Maybe give it a few days & try again?

    good luck
