I was hoping someone could help me. This is my second pregnancy and with my first I was VERY sick (both nausea and vommitting) for 20 weeks. It was a nightmare and at times I wished the pregnancy would just end it got that bad. I am now a mere 4weeks pregnant and it is starting again. Does anyone know of ANYTHING that might help beyond the old "dry crackers in a morning" routine (that last time did squat all). Has anyone had accupuncture? did it work? Please help!!
Blackmore's morning sickness formula works for me, but mine is not severe. I have also heard that "Sea bands" are very helpful. You can get them from chemists.
Yes!! I did have acupuncture but I did it for 3 months prior to conception and did it every fortnight after I got pregnant. I feel that it did help me as well as those magnets on the wrist. Nothing helped me more than acupuncture. Food, drink, forget it (except for fresh air!!)
I am having my fifth session of acupuncture for morning sickness tomorrow. I think it has helped. I probably feel about 50% better. I took the Blackmores m/s tablets but I was allergic to them. I am also wearing Sea Bands 24/7 and taking Vitamin B6 tablets from the pharmacy. I don't really know what is helping. I find if I eat constantly I feel somewhat better even though the last thing I want is food. The Dr said I could take Maxalon but I am reluctant to take drugs unless they are essential.
If you live in Melbourne I could give the name of the acupuncturist I am seeing. She was recommended to me by a midwife and she specialises in fertility, pregnancy and peadiatrics and sees heaps of people with morning sickness.
Wrist bands did f-all for me, as did ginger tabs. Ginger only seems to work in fresh form for some people, not dried or tabs, and unfortuanbtely I hate the stuff!
Accupuncture did work for me, but don't expect immediate results, I had 3 sessions before feeling better. Good luck!
