My little man used to get them from around 28 weeks every morning at the same time....around 7.20am!
I couldn't get back to sleep until they'd stopped lol.
Hey!!
I'm 31 weeks pregnant and it seems like bub gets the hiccups quite a bit. I notice them up to 3 times a day. Bub has them at the moment, actually. Been hiccuping for a good 5 minutes now.
I actually had an appointment with my midwife yesterday and she was laughing because bub had the hiccups when she was feeling my stomach.
How often did you notice your bub having them??
I have to admit that I don't really like it at times, because I feel a bit helpless that I can't stop them.
Thanks.

Yeah, mine seems to get them just as I'm going to sleep. There's no way I can sleep with s/he's doing that!! lol
Usually once or twice a day I feel hiccups. Its so cute, and I take it as a sign that bub is happy in there![]()
DS1 got them all the time, a few times a day. And he was posterior, so when he hiccuped they radiated down my spine, and I would feel them in my bum. Pretty funny... Then when he was born, he got hiccups all the time too...
My DS2 had them alot during my pregnancy, but with DS1 I didn't feel them anytime.![]()
I felt them a lot with both my pregnancies. DS would get them about 3 times a day also, and he still gets them quite frequently now on the outside![]()
I noticed them heaps with both my girls... not so much the boys, but the girls would get them at least once a day, often more. They hiccuped a bit after but not heaps.
My bub is getting them every day! Sometimes twice a day!
Three times today. And in the morning they went for 20 minutes. This one gets them every single day. I love them - lets me know exactly where the little one is hanging out.
Audax how do you know where bubs is hanging out? Might be a silly question but I thought it would be the chest moving that would cause you to feel the hiccups but I feel them right down low in my belly and surely her chest can't be down there. I'd love to know what it means please![]()
I really just know if it's right or left or around the back. The height of the hiccups seems to vary quite a bit, and can even depend on where I have my hand - the more I concentrate on them, the more amplified they seem to become.
DD got hiccups at least 3-4 times every day from 30 weeks onwards. It was funny but I felt a bit like you, helpless that I couldn't do anything for her - I hate having the hiccups!! There was one day just before I was due that she had them 4 times before lunch time! Wee sausage!
hi there,
I had them all the time with Josh! Several times a day, sometimes for an hour at a time or more!!
No rhyme or reason ...
Hope all goes well
Peanut gets them allllll the time!! And if she is really low I feel it in my hoohaa which isn't the most fun feeling! But it's not a bad thing at all!! In fact it's good because it means bubs is learning to use their swallowing reflexes or something.
Don't worry too much about them!!
My DD got them all the time. I was told it was good for hubs inuetero as it's helping them to developed some reflexes.
Just remembered reading something that said babies who get loads of hiccups in utero can be very well developed neurologically too. Not sure how true that is or how reliable the evidence though!!
