i would find out if i was you, from what you have just described about yourself.

i didn't find out with ds1 and obsessed about it a lot during the pg! i did find out with ds2 and really liked knowing.

I didn't find out with DD, though not from lack of trying! She was just a prim proper little lady and wouldn't show her bits to the camera for us We found out with Penguin though, to me it made little difference to the organisation side of things as I have a preference for strong, bright colours and never really ascribed to the blue/pink thing anyway. Plus there are heaps of cute things in neutral colours even if you're not keen on yellow

What I did like about knowing was being able to think of him in terms of specific gender rather than referring to him as "it" - kind of made him more like a little person growing inside me than an abstract concept. If it is making you stress though, I'd find out. Or even just have the sonographer write it on a piece of paper and pop it into an envelope for you to decide later if you're not totally sure.

I have chosen not to find out, found out by accident and was at the same crossroads you are.
Then I had my scan and told the sonographer no. But the picture was so good and clear, she didn't need to say it. Now I find myself wanting a confirmation. I had no baby stuff left either. The shopping here is so pathetic and it's really hard to find 'neutral' stuff I actually like. I also want to make some funky sheets....none of this pukey baby pastel colours, but funky and loud.
And yet DD's birth was so exciting since we didn't know. DS's wasn't quite that exciting, not that it wasn't exciting but.... you know.....

So. Now I'm stuck. DH desperately wants to know. I have another scan on the 15th....but I still don't know what to do. I haven't bought anything specific since I can't be sure, but do I just wait for the surprise?.....
