Hmmm... How do I put this in a nice way... I never had a tummy before Paris then towards the end of my pregnancy it got a bit floppy and hasn't really recovered... Well I'm nearing (HA 10 weeks to go!) the end of this pregnancy and its WORSE than it was last time! I'm fearing its only going to be worse afterwards...
PLEASE god let someone tell me it will just go back to the way it was before the start of this pregnancy...
So come on down 3rd + mums fill me in on what happens with the hangy bits...
My sister is a small size 8, and she reckons she has a mummy tummy. She put on about 25kg with each baby, and she says its all saggy there now. Still - whats saggy to her, I would give my left eye for!!!
So its probably a matter of perspective I guess. I wonder how many mums are saving the baby bonus for a tummy tuck?? :-k
Sorry Cailin, but the 'mummy tummy' will probably be around for good. I am one of the lucky women who put on at least 25kg+ with each pg, and the tummy has never been the same. I also have the most amazing road map on the tummy as well...
The tummy tuck is the one thing I would ever have done - but am the biggest chicken.
Seriously though, it can't be that bad, depending on how big you were before pg.
Sorry I can't help on the Mummy Tummy but I have wondered what on earth happens to all the skin!! I have already said to DH that I'm definitely having a boob job after we've had our family - seriously I've been saying that since before I was pregnant. Would actually love to hear from anyone whose had a boob lift?
Ahhh yes but did it loook worse in pregnancy than afterwards? Or did it actually get worse with every pregnancy? I don't mind that I have it, I can live with that, but it feels like its getting worse (marc says its in my mind) and I want to know if I'm to expect more hang post birth
I just found this Cai!
as you know I've had 5 kids and am pg with no.6.! Even with all the exercising we do as mums(the walking, running after kids who run out on the road, etc....),I still have my mummy tummy! DH reckons I haven't but he's not the one who has to carry it around 24 hrs a day! Yeah, I can fit into the same clothes I wore before falling pg, but they are much tighter now and I have had(unfortunately!) to go up a size in some items of clothes.
Still,I don't think I could go so far as to have a tummy tuck because i don't believe it is that bad! I would like to go bigger in the chest! What is it with men and porn star boobs!!!!!!!!!!
I put on 35kgs with Zaki and after he was born, had a permenant 'overhang', even when I lost weight.
This time, with the expanding belly, I was sure that it would take up the extra 'slack' but instead, it's just stretching all over again!!!! I am now convinced I'm going to have an overhang that goes down to my knees by the end of this!! Lololol!
love
sushee
PS BTW DH either doesn't notice or doesn't care, so who am I to complain? Then again, he usually doesn't look at me any lower than my boobs anyway....Lol!
