Is it a girl or boy ultrasound at 19 weeks?

    Hi everyone

I'm very new to this site but need advice on what I am having. I only have 2 weeks left and my 19wk scan told me I was having a girl but my intuition tells me I'm having a boy. All the other predictions such as Chinese Birth Calendar and symptoms suggest I'm having a boy too, should I trust the scan or go with my intuition - wdyt? I can't wait another whole 2 weeks.

Any advice or thoughts would be much appreciated, thanks.

Here's the link to the ultrasound, I hope it works:

I think that's a girl because of the two lines which would be the labia. It's also similar looking to the scan where we were told I'm expecting a girl.

I've had 3 boys and their bits didn't look like that

My intuition told me I was having a girl, I dreamt it and felt very strongly that it was a girl. Scans at 15 weeks and 20 weeks showed fairly conclusively that I am having a boy. Unless it's a girl with a penis and scrotum!

Having said that, it's more common for scans to mistakenly pick girls rather than boys, the male anatomy being rather more obvious - if you see male genitals it's pretty unlikely to be a girl.

It could still be a boy who was hiding his 'bits', and your intuition may be correct.

I hope you get to find out for sure in two weeks!

Thanks for the thoughts girls. I think the scan does show a girl but I just couldn't see 3 dominant lines like I've seen on some other ultrasounds. And I've heard from stories how wrong they can be. I asked my ob if I could have another scan now but it's too late cos 'she' is too big. I'll just have to wait and be patient!!!

Definitly looks like a hamburger to me and not a turtle!

ETA I was sure I was having my girl this time around too but there was definitly a turtle there and the lunar calender also said girl.

I would have to say a girl also. When i was preg with dd i was positve i was having a boy. The old wives tales, the ring test and the chinese calender said i was having a boy. But i got a little girl.

I don't even know what I'm looking at on that scan so I'm no help with that. We didn't get pics like that as I had an amnio so we knew it was a boy from 16 weeks.

What I can tell you is that I was sooooooo sure it was a girl before that. One of my aunty's who was a bit psychic used to say she saw me with a girl (mind you she was deceased by the time I got pregnant so I guess she couldn't see what happened after her death), I dreamt girl, I felt it was a girl. I was sooooooo shocked when I was told it was a boy. Then I remembered that I had been getting attracted to the baby boys clothes in the shops for some weird reason even though I thought I was having a girl. I guess my instinct was telling me boy, but my brain was telling me girl.

It's interesting to hear how many of you thought one sex and it was another. With my DD's I felt they were girls. This time I feel it's a boy, but don't know yet. Now Im wondering whether Im right!!!! i do think it could be the brain convincing us of a particular sex whether it's what we want more or what we dont want, but just to prepare ourselves? Who knows!!
congrats on your girly(we had 4 scans and each one said girl for DD2 but EVERY time we were told it's still not 100%, so you never know)!! xoxo

I'd say girl too, I have boys and it was really obvious in their u/s pics. You're pic looks a lot different to my boys' pics.

    I dreamt I was having a girl with DS1!
