Feathertop the significant risks is that the placenta will break down or calcify. BUT the normal gestation for humans is 38-42 weeks anywhere in between there. So going to 42 weeks could be normal for someone. If you trust your body you will be fine at the end I would rather have a spontaneous labour anyday than induction based on EDD's.
