Thanks Mak, we know the Hampton area well so we might try giving them a call. I know lots of people get a 3D/4D for 'fun' so some places must do it, but hrm, I wonder if you do still need to get a referral, didn't consider that
ETA oooh thanks Fiona! North Melb is very easy to get to! Did you need a referral? Or did you just call and book?
This will be too far out for you, but someone else might search this thread later so i'll mention it anyway- Reflective Imaging in Wallan were wonderful. They do 3D/4D and have a lovely couch that your partner (and others) can lie on while he watches the screen. No referral needed for the 3D/4D and you get a disc of pics.
Im not near you PZ, but had mine at Newcastle Ultrasound for Women. They have clinics all around like Sydney and Im sure Melbourne too. Highly recommend their work! We just had to get a referral from the GP and away we went, not for medical purpose. I think ours was about $250 21 months ago but we did get money back from medicare, then again I may have plucked that figure from anywhere
I went to Early Image in Pahran for DD's. It was fantastic. You can google them and they will come as they have their own website with costs, packages, galleries etc.
From memory, we got a DVD with 4 songs of our choice as the background music and all the pictures taken. Cost about $270 ish I think. You dont get anything back. We drove 3 hours to get there and will be driving there again for this pregnancy

At Sue Hisc o c k s room in Williamstown (walking distance from the Williamstonw North station) the Ultrasound place can do both. She has a huge plasma screen and can flick between 3D and normal, you can also get a DVD as well. It cost around $250 and I got some back from Medicare, a fair chunk If I remember as my safety net had kicked in.
