    Hi JDsmum

I tested positive in first pregnancy and had antibiotics during labour - no real drama had an IV in but also had an epidural so i couldn't move around anyway. With my second pregnancy they didn't even send me for tests - OB (different ob to first) said as I was positive for my first, I would have the antibiotics during labour again. I can't remeber if I had an IV in - I don't think I did - just injections to top etc.
What my first preg OB said was that when I got to hospital and was in labour to make sure that I told the midwives that I was Strep B positive so they could start antibiotics straight away. Did that with me second labour also - told them straight away.
Definately do not stress about it - just be glad that they tested - some don't.
Hope that helps a bit, relax
    cheers
    Ness

Don't worry about it - I tested positive for it when I was pregnant and all it meant was that I was given two doses of antibiotics during labour, and had my temp checked regularly. Isabel also had her temp checked regularly for the first 24 hours after the birth. No drama, really.
