I was never weighed with DD#1 but did take regular urine to my OB, same OB & 7 yrs later no weighing except when I was in labour & no urine, but he always does BP & takes Fundal measurements...
BUt here's one for ya... My Ob whom I have had 2 babies through has never, ever seen my tw@t!!!
Midwives delivered both girls perfectly too I might add!
Plus he has never done an internal, including when I had a M/C...!
ETA: My cousin was told her baby was dangerously low birth weight, she went into labour & had seizures due to them getting size wrong, baby was just over 13lb! She was 17 at the time....
I got asked at my checking-in appt what I thought my weight was, but apart from that, it has never come up. Nobody has weighed me, and I don't weigh myself.
I haven't been weighed either. I did ask once if I could check what my weight was for my own interest's sake so Peter (ob) let me get on the scales. Haven't had a urine test either. It's been quite hassle free actually ... not what I was expecting. =)
My lovely obst you to say every now and again "do you want to jump on the scales" I'd politley say no no thank you. I did at 32 weeks just in case things went haywire. It also saved the embarassement of telling my anaest guy in theatre as it was on my record. Previously I had to announce it to a room full of people in a emergency situation ( I always took off a few kilo's, hoping that it wouldn't be the difference between waking up during theatre or not 8-[ ). I had GT and my obst never checked urine and never did an internal...and he was a high risk specialist
