There is some research to suggest that those with a higher level of oestrogen experienced more heartburn and have hairier babies. Oestrogen is responsible for both increased relation of the oesophageal sphincter and helping bub's hair grow.

My two also had a great head of hair seen on U/S and my heartburn was shocking. This time not so bad and no-one has mentioned hair. However I also think for me this time a tansverse bub is having less impact on my stomach as opposed to my very long children who were the correct way.

Horrible heartburn with all 3 of mine, all completely bald. Dd is nearly 10 months and still doesn't have a hair on her head lol.

I've noticed future-blonde babies have no hair, brunettes have at least some hair.

I had awful reflux that made me sick but not heartburn. My baby had some hair but not huge amounts.

I had shocking heartburn with DD1, slept sitting up for 2 months, but no hair at all! She was pretty much bald til she was 3.
DD2 & DS were hairy, but heartburn was nowhere near as bad.
    DD3, a little heartburn, hair like DD1 I think

I slept sitting up for the entire 3rd tri. DS even had a hairy bum! We joked he was (and still has) lots more hair than daddy as well as some jokes about Dutch people being hairy (DH is Dutch) and being a mini oaf right from the start (DH gets called oaf boy in my family cos we are all bean poles and he's a bloody body builder)
