    Help! Cervix Question - TMI

Hi! I'm a teensy bit worried.

My cervix is usually really low. I can feel it easily, always have been able to. It's only about half a finger inside (sorry! TMI!).

Anywaaaaay, I've been using progesterone pessaries and have noticed that my cervix has disappeared! It's moved right up, I can no longer reach it. I was 15 weeks when I first noticed, now 16 weeks.
Should I be worried that it has moved up so early? Does this mean my cervix is 'short' now?

I know in my last pregnancy I could no longer feel my cervix at 24 weeks and (DS wasn't born til 42 weeks) but I'm just worried that this is way too early for my cervix to be moving up the way it has.

    Any advice?

    Hi
I Think it's normal for your cervix to be high during pregnancy. During or before labour it becomes lower & starts to Dilate & efface I thought. I don't think it's anything to worry about. Hopefully someone who knows for sure can Come in & respond.

I agree with babyluv... It is normal for it to be high... It'd be worse if at the stage your cervix was low and ready...

I wouldn't worry at all!! It wil change the whol way through your pg...

I'm pretty sure it's normal darl, apart from one time at 22wks after a scare involving contraction, I haven't been able to feel mine since about 12wks

    You're very welcome.

But remember, if you are worried at any stage, talk to your MW or dr!!!
