Hello all!
I'm 28 weeks and finding myself getting sicker and sicker. I actually ended up in hospital for 2.5 hours yesterday because my heart rate was 125 bpm (over a half an hour period and i couldn't get it down) and I was feeling dizzing and like I was going to pass out and throw up all at once PLUS I was out of breath. I've had this a couple of times, before, but in general I still have woozy morning sickness (and am still throwing up) and just can't stop being exhausted no matter how much sleep i get. I know that the 'joys of pregnancy" are a fallacy haha but just wondering how many people out there suffered the same shocking heartburn/morning sickness/heart rate and BP spikes that I seem to be suffering? Baby is fine by the way... kicking merrily away lol (how is possible to love someone so completely who isn't even here yet?!!)
thanks for listening to me!!!
spuddles :P
Glad bub is doing well, and I'm sorry you're feeling that... We're almost the same stage in the pregnancy but the only thing I'm feeling really bad is the heart burn, morning sickness passed after 1st trimester... Hope you feel better soon!!! and yea bub's are amazing you just fall head over heels in love with them!
Did they do any blood tests? Iron levels or even urine sample? Did they look at pre-elampsia.
What did they say about the elevated heart rate?
Sorry for questions! just trying to get more info.
I am 22 and a bit weeks and I get the same dort of stuff - throw up evey morning without fail and my BP has been slowly rising each time I go to the Ob's (not to be worried about yet tho) and I have the whole dizzy thing but mone seems to be if I get to hot. I get the racing heart beat at times as well and I just lie down and elevate my legs and it seems to go away.
Ob doesnt appear to be worried about it tho.
So yeah I knkow what your going thought for sure!!
Kate
I had dizzyness & low bp. I had to take iron supplements.
I have had everything you're going through at some point.
I hope it gets better, but go get some antacids or something for the heart burn. Sorry, but there's not much chance of that getting better til after bub's is born!
Thanks so much for your replies! When I was at the hospital yesterday, the doctor I spoke to said that it sounds like I have anaemia. My blood pressure is usually quite low/normal but it spikes sometimes. I have my GD test on Friday (my stupid GP has sent me for the 2 hour test and I have no idea why. I don't do well with blood tests anyway and now I have to have 3 in 2 hours!). I'm hoping that's negative. I am pretty confident it's not pre-eclampsia because i haven't had any protein in my pee and no swelling of the hands and feet plus my BP has been pretty regularly down.
I have been under a fair bit of stress lately as well because our landlord has decided to sell our house and we've only been in the damned thing for 2 months! Just found this out last Wednesday, so yes I'm having a whale of a time!
My DF had a very 'serious' chat to me this morning before I left for work - he wants me to cut back my work because he's worried I'm not getting enough rest. I know that he's right and I know that I really relaly should - can you believe I'm too scared to ask my boss? I've had so much time off with my medical appointments and being sick that I'm nervous about it! I'm all over the shop and the morning sickness isn't helping (although is probably ironically enough caused by it!)
Spuddles sounds like you indeed need to rest. When i had my first baby i worked full time. I found eating food that is healthy, natural that doesnt cause blood sugar spikes is great, getting fresh air and also putting your feet up when you can.
I too had anaemia and was meant to have iron needles but i never did.I use to take the tablets now and then. If your prescribed them do it and take them! You will feel a whole lot better. My low iron was to do with entirely something different in the end anyway.
Not too far away before you get to hold your little one!
