This morning I noticed in the shower my belly button piercing is looking a bit red around the top. I think it's coz my belly is starting to stick out more now and I keep accidently brushing it on things, so I can only assume it will get worse

Do I have to take it out?? If I do it will close up won't it?? If I don't take it out now and decide to take it out later will it look worse coz it didn't close up and get all stretched and gross leaving a bigger hole? Or if I leave it in what will happen when my belly button pops out??

This sounds so stupid but I'm so sad about taking it out I've had it since I was in grade 10 and I love it, feels like it's a part of me and my belly looks so weird without it now!! Jeez, pregnancy hormones are making it worse I think I'll cry when I take it out, lol. But I'd rather take it out if it's going to get all stretched and gross looking. What happens to it??
