Hi Lesley,
if you feel dizzy or any other sensations related to blood pressure then it is more likely that your pressure is low rather than high. One of the dangers of high BP is that there ARE no warning signs before something drastic happens.

Do mention it to your doctor/obs, but I wouldn't be overly worried. Try to keep your fluid levels up and your blood sugar stable - eat regularly! That's the best thing you can do, and regular exercise.

I've had high BP since the birth of my first child, during labour my BP went hideously high, something like 200/150 and I was fortunate not to lose the baby. It has always been a little high since, and seems to be unaffected by diet or exercise so I guess it's genetic, and set off by the first pregnancy.

It's been at a high-but-barely-acceptable level for the last seven years, and as soon as I got pregnant again it spiked so I'm on Aldomet to see me through the pregnancy, which brings it down to tolerable levels. Apart from getting it measured, there is no way I can tell that it is high. My general health and fitness levels are very good.
