    hi

csab - oh Hun, sorry the scan measurements weren't what you had hoped for. Hope it is just like your last bub, small dainty and just beautiful. Thinking of you Hun.

Skybie - thinking of you too, let us know how everything is going.

Crumpet - hope appt goes well today, at least you are in the best hands with Ob, crossing it all for you Hun, keep us updated.

afm - got another scan tomorrow, will be 28 weeks then. Ob trying to hold off as long as possible before delivering, but don't think I have more than a couple of weeks left. Been to see the NICU and am as prepared as I can ever be. Scary journey but I'll get through.

    take care all,

    take care all,
good luck with ur scan tomorrow hun, ill keep my fingers crossed for a great report!!
its great they have shown u the NICU at least u can try to prepare urselfs a little bit better

my appt went not to bad.....

    same as usual really.

except for a few things. LOL nothing ever seems to go totally smoothly!!

OB is a little worried because of her movements slowing down compared to what they have been, and that my fundal height sdidnt change this week and i didnt put on any weight, so im now having twice a week monitoring plus my weekly appt with the OB.

he isnt to concerned about the bleeding, we will get some bloods results today or tomorrow and they should confirm that there is no fetal bleeding which will mean its coming from my stitch, which is bound to happen at some point as it moves out to the surface ready to be removed.

so just have to keep plodding along, and taking things week by week. he did mention he thinks we might get close to going the distance so that will be interesting seeing we didnt think we would get to 32 weeks!

At monash, he'll have his surgery there too, its becoming our second home!
have anther appointment tomorrow, going to give them what for and see if i can have my diabetes managed outside of the hospital and to see my gp who is trained to deal with preggo ladies instead of seeing their OB's and just go to bubs appointments instead.
The Obs dont do anything my GP cant, all they do is take my blood pressure and check my fundal height, and i have to wait around for 2 hours on average for them to do it, with 2 little girls who get very very bored there! its prety stressfull on me trying to keep them quiet and busy while we wait, and by the time im seen to im pretty shirty aswell! so hoping i can see my own doctors in my own time around the girls and just see the specialists there. keep ur fingers crossed they agree to it!

found some info, not a heck of alot, apparently theres every chance bub will be able to come home once he's born! (super yay!) and we go back weekly to have his o2 sats checked and a heart scan till his surgery

ok so apparently i dont get a choice in who cares for my diabetes, i have to go to the hospital as often as they tell me to, to look in my book ad say ur doing well do u need more insulin? no, ok we'll see u next week!
Seriously it took me 2 hours to get in there this morning! then sit around for two hours waiting to be seen with the kids i felt like i was going to either scream or cry...or maybe both at the same time.
i dont understand why i dont get to choose who looks after me and my baby? surely theres an option, even if i could ring my levels in instead of actually going in IYKWIM??

Anyway got home and rang the maternal fetal medicine clinic who i have an app with in december and she's going to come in with me next week to see if we can work out a better arrangement for me and just come in on thursdays to the high risk clinic.
    Fingers crossed!

    Hi all

Crumpet - it's great you have got this far on in the pregnacy, glad they aren't too worried about the bleeding. You are been well cared for, and it is better than been in hossy on bed rest. Well done you for getting bubs this cooked though.

Skybie - thinking of you with all those long waits for the appts, I had that too before I came into this prison. Now I'm a captive audience and believe me I'm always getting monitors and needles stuck in or on every available inch of me. Hope you can have your little boy home for a while, before surgery. Thinking of you.

afm - scan this am. No real cahnge, plodding along till 30 weeks, don't think they will let me go much past that. Having regular urine tests, the first sign of my bladder rupturing will be blood in the urine. Joy!!!

    take care all

    Hey guys,

I haven't been on for a bit, been trying to steer clear of the forums for a while and concentrate on me and bub and relaxing and trying not to go reading into things.
I've had a lot of family issues going on lately - my dad and stepmum are separating, which I know it's their lives and everything, but I really need my family to be whole and together and supporting me right now and I'm not getting any of that at all. I basically have no support people around me at all apart from hubby when he's home and occasionally my bestie when she's not dealing with her issues involving the recent breakup of her very serious "had-been-talking-about-marriage-and-kids-just-the-month-before" relationship.

So anyway, firstly, a belated thank you to you all for the congrats on my bub being a girl I'm still over the moon about it and have so many clothes on layby now lol

Secondly, I have been feeling a bit out of place in here. I feel like my issues aren't anywhere near as bad as you guys have it right now, makes me feel like I don't really deserve to be in here ifykwim.

And thirdly, saw my OB for the first time today, which was intreresting and he seems really nice and everything but was in a real hurry and didn't really answer any of my questions and just brought up more.
Found out my fundal height is measuring at 28 weeks... which for me is really odd as my fundal height with DS only ever measured 3 weeks ahead at one time late in the pregnancy and I was sent for a scan to check out the fluid levels right away, and this time the OB hasn't even batted an eyelid about it.
To add to that I'm feeling a bit out of sorts, very light headed and slightly dizzy even when sitting down, lots of headaches, but my BP is apparently normal (it's normally around 110-115/80, but today it was 120/60, all after walking to the bus stop, waiting for and sitting on the bus for 30 minutes, a 10 minute walk to the consulting rooms while pushing a pram and then a 45 minute wait to see the OB where I had to get up and bend down repeatedly to pick up DS's toys and dummy).
I'm thinking of calling the maternity ward tonight, just to ask them about it as I've been getting painful BH's almost constantly again over the past 4 days as well...

I just wish things could be uncomplicated for a change so that I can completely relax and not have to worry about things.

Hope you're all doing ok, sending lots of sticky vibes out to you all and I'm praying that those bub's of yours will stay put for a while longer!

    Hi all

BF - I hope all goes well for you today, please let us know how you are. Praying bub gets to stay in for abit longer yet. Loads of hugs

Crumpet - Well congratulations hun for hitting 35wks, not long now and your bub is going to be in your arms. How exciting, and yay for a great OB appt the other day. hugs

Jenna - Now dont you think for one second you dont belong in here, we are all here to support each other. We are all going through different pgcy's and complications etc, so please dont think you dont belong. We are all in the same boat and all need that support, you are no different. Sending you lots of hugs. Please make sure you look after yourself. Keep posting in here. We also like to hear how your going. hugs

Skybie - How is everything going? How did your appt go? Hope your coping as well as can be expected. Please know I am thinking of you. hugs

Sorry I havent been posting, but will try harder soon. hugs

Well had my appt today, which I wasnt supposed to but with me trying to change the c/s date I had to go in today to speak with the Dr. Anyhow after talking to the Dr we have decided to keep the original c/.s date, due to the following week may not have any c/s's scheduled except for emergency c/s's. In which case she said that I may not get an as experienced Dr as the Dr that is scheduled to do my c/s is. She also said if any complications happen with the c/s, someone with not as much experieced may panic. Also she expressed her concern for the baby if we leave it any longer, due to bubs size. So with her mentioning risking not being able to get a c/s and possibly ending up with someone not so experienced doing the c/s compared to this well experienced Dr that I currently have, well lets just say that sold me, especially with this being my 4th c/s. So atm looking at spending xmas in hospital. So lets just say without giving a date, I will just say upto the 24th December and bub will be here.
After letting the Dr know as well about me stopping the aspirin this week, she agreed it is best too. I also mentioned to her that some of the other dr's said to keep going upto the time i deliver, yet I dont want to risk that at all. So finally this week I will have one less thing to take. Still no bags ready, but will need to get my butt into gear and start.
Also went to do the sleep study last week but the stupid matress thingy wouldnt work when plugged in, however my BP was really good that night. So met up with the MW today who had me bring the matress home again, so will be trying it out tonight and will see how the BP goes as well again. I also had a thought, although she said it doesnt record hanky panky, yet it records snoring (still trying to figure that one out) What if I talk in my sleep lol. Ohh well, if it records that then at least they will have a laugh.
Anyhow I hope you and your little bubs are doing well, and will try to catch up properly soon. Loads of hugs.

Csab - Thanks darl, you've made my day *hugs* And 36 weeks tomorrow for you!!! Yay!!!

BTW, December 23rd is a great day to be born lol (my DS's birthday), only downsides were that we couldn't get his photo taken with Santa because the Santa that came around the ward stopped by at 5:30 in the morning while I was catching up on some much needed sleep and we didn't get to spend our first christmas as a proper family at home

Hi everyone else, hope things are going ok for you all!

csab - Things are rather interesting here at the moment... I've put it all down below the persies...

Butterfly - HUGE CONGRATS darl! Such a good weight too I hope he can come home to you very very soon!

afm - I started getting contractions last friday night, lasted for about 5 hours or so coming every 5-10 minutes, so not particularly regular, but very worrying.
We just monitored them and they never got closer together or more regular, so I just tried to relax and breath through them and eventually they went away.
Since then I have had an almost constant lower back ache, *TMI* very loose bowel motions combined with a lot of pain, pressure and tightness down in my pelvic area which the Maternity ward thought was Gastro as I was also rather queasy at the same time but I have since determined that it is MS coming back again as I have been queasy every morning and evening this week so I haven't been able to see a midwife for monitoring because they are concerned that I'll give all the new babies on the ward gastro , and I have also lost my appetite, so not eating much and everything that I do eat makes me queasy but I force myself to eat because Bub needs it.

Oh and bub has dropped and I am feeling that really uncomfortable feeling that I got when DS started to engage... not big enough to be a bowling ball between the legs, but it's definately larger than a cricket ball

So yeah, I have had a very interesting week here, currently getting prodded with fists down around my cervix followed by headbutts as Bub has the hiccups, and then there's the feelings like it's all about to burst open without warning too, and I'm getting a really bad feeling that something is wrong with me (not bub thankfully, deep down I KNOW that bub is ok, it's just me that I have a bad feeling about).

Have my DS's slightly early birthday party tomorrow, which my own father won't be coming to because we haven't been on speaking terms since he pretty much walked out on my stepmum a little over a month ago and he's already planning on starting another relationship and he thinks it's more important for him and my little brother and sister to go to my cousins birthday party tomorrow (which we weren't told anything about and apparently it had been planned and the invites sent out months ago and we didn't receive a single call, txt or letter about it, otherwhise we would have changed my DS's birthday party to NEXT weekend grrr! my family is driving me nuts and stressing me out to the max right now), so have to get that out of the way and then I can give in and cry and insist that I get seen my the midwives up on the Maternity ward.

Must go, have some things to do, hope everyone is going ok!

Ohh jenna, thats sounds terrible. Are you still getting tha pains? Im sorry they wont let you in for monitoring just to check you out at least and if they are contractions give you something to stop them. Ohh you poor thing. Sorry about your dad, leaving your step mum, and starting up a new relationship so soon after leaving her, then ontop to not even be there for you and your DS's Bday. Look after yourself hun, I hope letting it out in here helps hun, you need to look after yourself right now, and get past these next few weeks. I hope that feeling you have is wrong hun. You sound very down. Im glad your feeling bub is doing well. I wish I was closer to you so I could give you a hug. So a cyber hug will have to do. Try and rest and enjoy your DS's bday. hugs
