My husband, DD and I were at this youth event for our church and some of the kids were playing basketball. Anyway the ball accidently hit me in the bottom of ny stomach (sort of in the pubic bone), and I can not help but worry that it could have hurt the baby. I have felt the baby kicking since then but I just need some reassurance. I have been feeling a little achy in my pubic bone all day also.
Do you think I need to worry??

I think your bubs should be pretty safe...they are fairly well protected inside and have lots of fluid surrounding them. If the achiness continues though, or you get any bleeding then I'd be heading to the doctor's, or even if you give your midwife/hospital a call to see if you should come in and get checked out.
How far along are you? (Baby brain + useless at maths = I cant work it out.. doh).
Fairly sure you should be ok. When I was pregnant with Harry I was asleep in bed at like 2am, and Sam woke up - decided he wanted me to be awake too. So he climbed on up the bedside, stood on top, lept of and landed butt first right on my stomach. I was in unbearable pain for days. They did ulstrasounds, blood tests, all sorts of stuff - Harry was perfectly fine, as was the placenta. This was at around 12 weeks. Sam literally squashed my insides and my spine - but Haz got pushed into a nice safe little corner. I honestly thought I was going to lose him.
Wow Inertia... that must have been horrible. I guess if they can survive that....
Firstbub, if you have felt bub kicking since then that is a really good sign...like ss storm said, if you get any bleeding or bad cramps, get it checked out...the achiness you are having now could be sore muscles etc .
They are well protected in there...it doesn't stop you worrying though I know. Might not hurt to see someone tomorrow even if it's just to put your mind at ease?
Jasp: It wasnt much fun. Harry run over the top of this one! I have since learnt that I need to lie on my side. ANY side!
Firstbub: Definitely watch for signs. With mine there was no bleeding or anything untoward. Just a lot of pain and that was the damage done to me. We do still get hurt around bubs so bear that in mind to help you feel better. Not all ouchies in a pregnant woman are related to baby.
Just get some rest and enjoy the kicks. If you find you cant stop stressing, the doctors are usually good and doing whatever to put your mind at ease simply because stress is bad!
Hi Firstbub
Try not to worry hun. Your baby is very well protected in there behind your tummy muscles and inside a bag of water. Feeling your baby moving is a good sign I am sure that your baby will be fine
