This is my third pregnancy,so you would think im used to it,but im curious to know as to what weeks you guys were/are for packing your Hospital things ready?
One of the main reasons I haven't pack is cuz I haven't bought anything!
LOL maybe next shopping I will stock up on a few mummy essentials.
I did by some maternity pads about 3 weeks ago. Oh & I do have some breast pads on layby.
LOL I packed last time the day I was induced at 16 days past my first EDD.... I thought it would give me something to do while in labour at home so I kept putting it off.
hey... I started packing at 34 weeks... in the end i was overdue a week! I had that extra time but it doesnt matter how organised you think you are there is always something you forget! I had my husband running back and forth bringing me stuff to the hospital! Good luck!
I packed last week and still have some stuff to chuck in when it's time to go, but this is my 7th baby. With my first I think I was packed at around 30 weeks and like Tegan unpacked and repacked every week.
I was packed at 32 weeks, and now I've forgotten what I packed!! I think I'll go through it again. I made a list and then just checked it off as I packed it. I think it was about the following:
4 loose t-shirts
4 maternity bras
12 pairs HUGE knickers
slippers
sandals
2 nighties
1 dressing gown
1 nice outfit in case I get "a night off" with DH before we go home...
nipple cream
moisturiser
thousands of pads...some thick ones and some thinner ones with wings
breast pads
toiletries like shampoo/conditioner; toothpaste etc
fruit lollies to suck on during labour
book (who knows, I might open it...)
back massage thingy
wheat heat bag for after birth and contracting uterus!!
massage oil
video camera (DH wants it ALL on video...if he thinks I'm watching it, he can think again!!)
still camera
mobile phone and charger
breath freshener
oh, and most importantly...my birth plan!!
I think that's about it...anything else anyone can suggest???
Yep. I wrote this in the other thread but the thing I found really important that no-one ever mentions was plastic thongs or slippers for the shower. In a public hospital you are sharing a shower with other women who are bleeding and thats just yuck, so take something to wear on your feet in the shower.
