    How active is abnormally active?

I rarely felt my DS move, could have been him or it could have been the anterior placenta. This baby has been consistently active since early on, but recent days he seems to be moving all the time.... last night while lying in bed he was active for 3 solid hours... is this normal?? am i just feeling it more as he gets larger? how do you know if they are distressed?

I am off to the Dr tomorrow as i'm not feeling well either but just wanting some reassurance i guess.

Sure it's fine. It also depends on how much fluid you have in there. I couldn't actually feel DD very much but every time I went to the ob he said, "my goodness, you have a very active baby in there," when he put the Doppler on. She was moving around like billy-o and I couldn't feel a thing. He said I probably had a lot of fluid.

I read in a birth book just the other day that lots of movement is never something to worry about so just enjoy.

Jesse was a very active baby from 16 weeks. At his 19 week scan he was doing summersaults! And was always very full on. This baby is completely different though. Id say as theyre getting bigger now and the space around them getting smaller, you are just feeling them more. You might have a strong little baby there.. DS has always been so strong since the day he was born, even now i have to battle against him sometimes.
