Question How did you choose your PIG?

I have so many people on here I would love to do me this honour, but I have no idea how to decide which one it should be!
How on earth did you decide??

Google randomizer. Go into your Belly Buddies thread... use the randomizer to come up with a number and then pick the author of that number thread

I asked my pig as they were someone I was close friends with and saw IRL and I was hers for her 2nd baby so I thought it was a great honour to do for her so would like to recipriocate.

We partnered up in our belly buddies group. As it turned out no-one announced DS's birth so I ended up doing it myself
Just pick someone you feel comfortable with & someone that you know will follow through with it, I know when mine didnt follow through I felt invisible or maybe not good enough as I had done theirs, you dont need those extra feelings just after you've had a baby

Good luck! There are lots of lovely ladies here to choose from!!

I put it in my status thingy under my username that I was looking for one. Had one member offer to do it so I accepted (had other offers after but said I already had someone) then she kind of disappeared from the forum for a bit so ended up posting myself.

aww Breeze i felt bit sad for you when i read this cause here's me on the other end who can't have anymore children other than my one beautiful DD and wonder why no one would ask me as i would be just so darn super excited let alone be deeply & truly honoured, for me it would be a gift as i will never experience the joy of another bub and to be someone's PIG would be as close as i could get to my own excited if i was having another bubba IYKWIM and believe me the announcement would be done with a lot of love for a bubba i may or may not meet but the being able to do it would be such a JOY and i'd be one proud PIG (and i know the new Mumma would really like my announcement as i'd make sure i'd do a fab job of it)

(Don't forget me Breeze & Eluned if you ever have another ok )

A lot of the girls in my Belly Buddies group paired up too. I said I'd like to do it for someone and have someone for me, but no-one took me up on it. When I was in hospital starting labour and updated my facebook status, though, they all jumped on it and wondered what I was up to (I was deliberately vague so I could tell them all myself that Ianto had been born/died)

I have noticed, unless I've just not looked properly, no-one's actually posted a BA thread for their PIG partner, just posting in the Buddies thread. I thought doing a proper BA was the point of having a PIG?

That is the idea so people not in belly buddies group know! As I have many friends on BB not in that group.

    Breeze, Eluned and Teni

It is such an priviledge to be someone's PIG and for me I can't wait to do my PIG duties, I was a Belly Buddy with mine during our last pregnancies and we are quite close and I am honoured to be her PIG. I haven't made mine offical yet, but will soon, I want a couple though, but most certainly will be those whom I trust, who I know will post and whom I know will be honoured to be my PIG

Post It Girl! sounds a bit rude in acronym form doesnt it?

Hj asked me to be her PIG and I was very honoured, she and I were belly buddies with our first, but met through BB when we both had mcs at the same time, shared similar journeys, and now even though we have never met, I truly think of her as one of my closest friends!
Hopeully one day I can ask her to the same for me..

My PIG was from our 'old' young mums chat thread. I didn't really specify just said to my two special friends that whoever got in first could do it and messaged them both.

I have posted for a few others and I just asked them if they would like me to post for them. But I am not so close with many anymore I always made an effort to seek out the Buddies thread as some members i know do not venture out of the buddy groups and would not see a BA!

I was tossing up b/w 2 ppl BG who i knew IRL or MOI who i had started getting to know through my baby buddies group with DD1... in the end i chose MOI, was a way of getting to know her a bit better.. she's such a lovely lady and was so excited to be one of the first to know about DD2.

I say just pick someone you click with and would be excited to share the news with straight away.. funny i know but imaging you've given birth and your sending txt msg's.. who's the 1st name to pop into your head or who's name do you visualise on your mobile

If anyone is looking for a PIG i am happy to offer my services, i would consider it an honor, love hearing about births and any excuse to get on BB
