I got up off the couch last night and I got a very weird cramping-sensation on my lower abdomen, right on the bump? It lasted only for a second of two, and not at all painfull. Did not have time to see feel if my tummy was hard. I was caught off gaurd. It did not happen again.
So I was wondering how does braxton hicks feels like. Just like a cramp, right? Is this to early to get them? Did not have anything like this with dd.
I don't need to worry about something like this. Having this is good, right?
i got my first one at 16 weeks. My belly goes really hard and it makes me unable to move to well for about 10-20 seconds. Its only now they are getting a little more intense and can come with cramping and period like pains. I only get BH mayb once or twice a week..
Sounds like Braxton Hicks to me, although i only ever got them once with DD#1 @ 40wks which was the same time i just happened to be walking up to the hospital cause we suspected my waters were leaking. Turns out it was all just a false alarm before the big day which actually turned out to be 6 hours later. lol
yeah sounds like BH to me too. i used to get them when i had just been to the loo or when i was busting to go to the loo. mine didnt hurt, just felt tight and it was sorta on the underside of the bump. i think i have felt similar already this pregnancy but nothing major! wonder how early you are supposed to get em?
really? Mine didn't hurt at all! In fact, mine felt like I was being massaged from the inside! I know it wasn't baby moving, coz when he moved - he moved!
I got BH all through my pregnancy with DS and i've been getting them during this pregnancy since about 11 weeks! They just feel like a tightening/hardness in and around my bump and sometimes its a bit uncomfortable to move if i have one. If you look at your tummy when you're having one it'll probably be sticking out at a weird angle or be a bit weird shaped. I get them all the time- at least 5-6 a day and especially whenever i need to wee. Its all normal and nothing to worry about. My OB said the reason i get them so often is because i'm so busy running around after a toddler Just think of it as a sign that your body knows what to do and is getting ready for the big day!
