Pumpkin - firstly congratulations. I must have missed your announcement or not stalked the TTC thread at the right time. I'm so happy for you.
I started getting a little belly from about 6 weeks. By about 9-10 weeks I wasn't fitting my pants and had to wear a waist band extender. By 12 weeks I started wearing maternity pants.
Today a client came into my work and said "WOAH are you sure you're not having twins???? Wow, you are HUGE...Gosh it's going to be a big one...." went on and on, made a huge deal about it infront of everybody!
Grr... makes me so mad!
I didnt have a real obvious bump til about 20 weeks... I am 29 weeks now, still in my size 10 jeans, still wearing my usual clothes. I've put on 6 kilos so far my whole pregnancy.
I eat whatever I like, good and bad....I am proud of how i'm carrying! I am grateful. None of my relatives put on less than 30 kilos in their pregnancy. That's what I was dreading, but expecting...
Why can't people keep their mouth shut. Grrr.
ah, I had the same thing, CC - I think people not used to seeing preggy bellies don't get how much bigger they get!
or maybe they think we're excited about the baby (which we are!) and that they're being positive, by suggesting we're doing a great job of growing our LOs ... ?
but a friend of mine was just congratulated and asked how far along she was, by her brand new neighbours ... but she's not pg at all! uh oh ...
PZ: the earliest I've heard is 6 weeks (but that was a 2nd bubba) and the latest I've heard is 22 weeks.
Well I'm now 100% most of it was bloating, after 6 weeks I felt MUCH less bloated! Feeling a lot better now, bump has decreased, but is still there lower down
i cant exactly remember with the boys, but remember i was still prety small with ds1 untill i fully accepted i WAS having a baby at about 21weeks.
with dd people noticed arround 9 weeks, but was definate at 12 weeks. i was definately showing at 7 weeks with this one, but even now, clost to 20 weeks people dont want to mention it incase i just havent lost it from dd, hello.. it looks like theres a soccer ball up there!! definately not after baby flab!
if you show early, flaunt it!!
I'm not sure if what I have is "pop" but if you feel my tummy you can definitely feel where baby's home is I can even feel the edges of it, where it starts and ends... So weird!
