Question How much cramping is normal?

Hi everyone, i am about 4 weeks pregnant with my first one and wondering how much cramping should i not worry about. I have had like period cramps over for the last week. They are not constant, just come on for about a minute and then go away, they are in all different areas of my belly.

As this is my first i am not sure if i should be worried or if this is normal. Any comments will be helpful!

Apprantely lots of girls have cramping in the first trimester which is nothing to worry about because it's the utersus and other muscles stretching and getting ready. My advice is that if you're not bleeding or hurting too much then don't worry but I know that is hard. If they get worse see your doc - always the best way! Best wishes for your pregnancy - I know how important it is.

I am nearly 14 weeks and am still getting pretty bad cramping its bub #4 so you think everything would be well stretched out but over 4 years gap this time so could be that.

Don't worry too much I agree with jordiec that if you are worried see your dr.

I had period-type pains for ages before I finally decided to test and got a BFP. General pain and cramping continued til about 7 weeks and now I still have some abdominal pain and all sorts of odd twinges. Apparently this is completely normal but for some reason the pregnancy books often don't mention it. I really don't think it's cause for worry unless it's very strong pain accompanied by bleeding - if that happens, contact your doctor asap.
