OK I'm not the best example. I hadn't put on ANY weight until I was past 20 weeks....
...and then I put on 36kilos.
Don't do that... it should be easy enough so long as you don't eat an entire jar of nutella every couple of days Keep a healthy diet for yourself, plus an additional small meal if you need it, and continue with some movement (some call it exercise, I probably would've been fine had I have moved at all). Don't think of the weight... think of the nutrients for you and bubs x
I was very lucky as with both my pregnancies as I was all baby and never put weigh on my body.
With DD I out on 6kg's and with the twins I put on 11kg's. I walked out of hospital with DD being lighter than I was pre pregnancy and I weigh myself yesterday - twins 11 days old - and I am also weighing less than I was before I was pregnant with them.
So far I've lost 2kg. But my Dr doesn't want me to put any on at all, in fact he says he'd be quite happy if I lost a bit during this pregnancy (I am unfortunately quite overweight at present).
With DD I put on a total of 9kg and lost it all pretty quickly, so I'm hopeful that I'll be ok this time around.
I put on all up about 6kgs but most of that was in the first tri b/c I just ate whatever I wanted. I then got sensible and must have lost some or stayed the same.
