The Good News!!
- NT measurements look good too, after she measured it more then 10 times, trying to get the right measurement. :o
- Flicker is almost 7cm long and is pefectly inline with my dates (as per my ticker) :excited:
- The bleeding has reabsorbed back into my body :o :leap:
- Cervix is 3.8cm :cheer: I spoke with the OB today and we discussed that the shortening may have been due to the MC, we have been not having "fun" due to the risks and will be speaking with my OB on Monday as to what we do, I don't believe that it would be a stitch at this stage baes on that length, DH wants to know whether we can get more "active" but I think it would stress me out too much unless I know it would be safe
The not so good
- Have been cramping badly for the past three hours, I assume it is most likely due to the cervical scan, I am on the couch and DH is looking after N as I can't stand up, as it hurts too much. So I am going to have an early night and hopefully it will have settled down overnight. I am all blocked up in the sinuses and just buggered, so off to bed early to get some rest.
Thankyou for your lovely support :loveshower:
xxoo
3.8CM!!! WOooooooohooooooooooooooo
Congratulations Beema, I am so so so happy for you. What a wonderful relief. Our Ob recommended that we didn't have any "fun" as well and I have been too worried ever since. Luckily DH is cool about it all. Sorry to hear about the cramps, but like you said, I have heard heaps of people have cramps after that sort of scan/measuring. Seriously, what a wonderful day for you.
:cheer: :cheer:
:happyforyou:

awesome news hunny, well done :)
hope you are feeling better xx
That's Fab V!!!!
Thanks everyone :grouphug:
The cramping died down this morning, and I feel a lot better that everything has settled nicely. I thought that it would be "normal" to experience cramping after the internal scan, I don't think it will help DH's cause  he wants me to ask the OB on Monday when we can get active again, but I'm not so sure....
It is a huge relief to know that the bleeding has all absorbed, that has a really big impact emotionally on the rest of this pregnancy.
I was very excited about the length of my cervix - who would have thought 1cm would make such a huge difference
Gee Miss K, were are going through so much together at the same time, I hope your sinuses feel a lot better soon, the chemist recommended Beconase, I don't know if it is going to make much of a difference though, just gotta ride it out.
Hopefully I get an all clear from now from my OB on Monday, hoping my platelets are staying higher this time as they were an issue last time, but I think I have had my fair share of drama for a pregnancy, just gonna cruise along for the rest of it ;)
Your support has been amazing, and we can't thank you all enough for been such a pillar of strength for me throughout the last few weeks, and I am looking forward to finally going "public" with the news as until now I didn't feel confident to do so, but yesterday really brightened us up... A LOT!!!! Love you guys!!! :loveshower:
Oh Vic, I am so very very very happy for you that I could cry :happyforyou::cheer::dance:
I agree LJ! Congrats hun, very very happy for you! Enjoy sharing your lovely news xx
:happyforyou:
very very happy for you here too :D
Beema, I'm so happy for you.
With the last pregnancy, it was just a long nightmare for the first sixteen weeks or so. I started spotting at 5 weeks, my dates seemed off in the u/s, and then at ten weeks I developed some kind of uterine sepsis. I was told I'd have to have a d&c (I refused, as the baby was fine on u/s and the IV antibiotics seemed to be working) and the bleeding carried on, quite heavily, until about 18 weeks. There just never seemed to be a point where I could relax and enjoy the pregnancy. Then I had threatened PTL at 30 weeks and 32 weeks... the last eight weeks however were perfect, I love love loved it, and then I got my precious Tom at the end of it.
I do hope that things settle down for you and you are able to really enjoy this special time.
I am so glad the u/s went well hun, keep resting and talking to that little bubba of yours. hugs
Ohh glad to hear all is going well now.
Fingers crossed no more dramas for you.
xoxox
