    Question Incomplete Shock

I got confirmation last Tuesday via BT that I was pregnant, but had been spotting for a couple of days. On the Tuesday when I went to get my results I have pretty much concluded that this pregnancy wasn't going to stick as the bleeding had gotten heavier.

My progesterone was very low, and because I was bleeding I just shrugged my shoulders and said to the doctor that at least I know what my problem is. We scheduled another BT to make sure HCG was going down. I went to doctor today expecting him to tell me HCG had gone down. Instead I got the shock of my life - HCG last week was 23 - it is now 220. Progesterone is still low though and I'm still bleeding - but not a heavy bleed.

Doing another BT next week to see if HCG goes up or down, but I'm wondering if I should start taking progesterone cream just incase it is all going to be fine.

anyone know or had anything similar????? not sure what I should do.

    Thanks TiggerLinda,

I've found your blog, but how do I get to the section where you were going through the bleeding?

Could it be that bubs is really borrowing deep into your uterus and that is what the bleeding is? Which is actually a good sign?

I will pray your little bean is a sticky one and stays put for you!

Going to the Dr's today after the kids christmas concert. Going to get some progesterone cream to help give bubs the best chance. The best thing about it is, if bubs is ok it will help her (yes I'm pretty sure about this), but if my body is abborting it won't stop it.

I thought I was going crazy last week because my mind kept telling me, you're still pregnant. I thought it was wishful thinking, but when I was waiting to see Dr yesterday I had this feeling that he was going to tell me my HCG was up. I again thought this was just stupid. I just have this overwhelming feeling that this is actually going to be ok. I just know she's going to be ok.

She will really deserve her name too if this ends up being a normal pregnancy. Eva = Life.

Here's keeping the fingers crossed and can't wait to start smearing that cream.

ok, went to Dr to discuss Cream option. He decided to do another BT and rush through results to get tomorrow to make sure Prog is on it's way up - if it is we may not need cream. First Blood Test last week had Prog at 9 (very very low), Bt from monday had it up to 22 (still low). We also discussed the fact that I have very very very low Iron. I have found out this is because when I lost blood from hemorage/mc in April when I was distcharged they told me to take Iron and Vc - which I did. what they failed to tell me was that I needed an iron tablet of about 320mg not 5mg. So I went off and got my heavy duty Iron tablet to boost my iron, and Dr has put me on 5mg of folate.

so hoping that bleeding my slow once I get my iron up - cause low Iron can cause extra bleeding - explains why I've been bleeding like a stuck pig after BT's.

Feeling pretty good tonight actually. Fingers crossed. think I might start a blog for this.

Hi PamyK.. Good luck with BT tomorrow.

I just wanted to let you know that my girlfriend is 24 weeks PG and still bleeding (quite heavily at times). She has scans every two weeks to check if everything is ok and baby is healthy, they are not sure what the issue is. She has had five pregnancies, and has lost 5 babies (one of which was twins). She sucessfully had a little boy in 07 so her body has been through a lot.

So try not to stress to much at this stage, sounds like you have a great Dr, who is doing everything to help you.

    Good luck again.

I'm sure that if she has come this far, then she will go further with you. Fingers crossed that the iron tablets do the trick and stop this bleeding for you

Pamy - hopefully all will be okay - but if it turns out to be a progesterone problem - i know of a fantastic doctor that can help u with that!
Low progesterone cause my 2 previous miscarriages - and without this doctor my bubba girl might not of stuck either, and she woudn't be with us today!
Goodluck with it all - i will be thinking of u!
