thoughts and prayers are with her and her family. How tragic not to be able to cuddle your baby. I cried while I read this.

oh my lord this is soooooooooo sad and scary

We put our trust and bodies with these medical professionals and they should check then recheck before injecting anything into our bodies

I really feel for this woman and i am honestly petrified(sp?) to get one done now if i have to have another c/section.

I hope she has a full recovery and can take care of her bubs

If you read the article you will see that its stated in a situation where antisepctic and epidural solution are needed it is hospital policy pretty much everywhere to draw the liquid STRAIGHT FROM THE SOURCE ie bottle or whatever, not have them both in dishes for exactly this reason.

Gosh even in my vet clinic we draw up everything straight into a syringe, and then it gets labelled straight away so everyone knows what's in the syringe. I can't believe that a mistake on this magnitude was ever made!!

Yeah I read it on here too not very long ago. The English wasn't great and said they were a friend of the family. One of the mods removed the name of the hossy it happened at.

It's a terrible thing!!! The poor poor woman and her family!

    Very, very awful
Another reason why I avoided having an Epi..... so potentially dangerous.

I hope she is ok soon and can start enjoying her precious baby.

I read this article earlier today and just got more and more outraged and saddened as it went on. I can't believe this has happened. The poor family- I feel for them so much

Epidurals scare me in their normal practice but this is just so extreme and appalling.
