    Insurance cover while pregnant

I’m an expecting Mum for the first time and still can’t believe how many things you need to be aware of while you are pregnant! For example, did all you first time Mum’s know that you need to check with your car insurance company while you are pregnant to see if you are covered to drive? I had no idea!

Are you serious? What reasons would you have to check for if you're pregnant? Is it because you may have a medical condition (other than pregnancy )?

Does this apply to all insurance companies, or just some???
I would have thought that the only time you were not covered was if you were in labour
    going to have to check.
Has anyone else hear of this?

My doctor told me to check with my insurance company. I just wanted to let others know incase they weren't aware. I made sure I emailed my insurer and they assured me I was covered. I was really surprised by the quick response I got.

I know women who've had a csec aren't covered in the 6 weeks post partum on some insurance policies, but I didn't know about before....

Wow, thanks for the heads up ladies - I had no idea. How bizarre! I'll get on to the insurance company tomorrow morning!

    Hello all,

I am a Trainer at AAMi insurance, you don't need to ring up as you will be covered whilst pregnant. The only time you will not be covered is if you are declared medically unfit to drive. It is the same with all insurance companies. So dont stress out, you all have enough to worry over!!
