Question Just an interesting experience - what would you think?

    Hi All,

Didn't know where else to post this so here goes:

Firstly I should mention that we are not TTC at the moment but I am taking pre conception things to prepare for the TTC journey in the New Year and are very strict about DTD with protection - just in case

Ok so here goes, a small section may be TMI:

A couple of weeks ago I have this very strong dream that I was pregnant full term and was in labour. I gave birth to a baby boy and then the dream skipped forward to bringing him home. In the dream we are at home and I can hear him crying and its morning so I am sleeping in my bed. I remember waking up in my dream and I literally wake up in real life at the same time. Of course realising I was only dreaming I didn't have a crying baby to attend to however it took a good moment to fully wake and know this .... the dream was so strong I swear I was there.

    THEN

Last night hubby and I were watching a movie and I get this wiff of baby powder I say to Dh "can you smell that? it smells just like baby powder" he can't smell it but it lingers around me for about five min, meanwhile my nipples go all tinglely like it does just before your milk comes in.

Now I haven't "felt" like it was Nikita - I do get the occasional "feeling" when she is around and usually its in dreams anyway but I don't quite know what to make of this experience .

Am I going mad? - possibly but thats nothing new

Is it a "spirit baby" letting me know one is ready to come to me - if you believe that sort of thing

Is it just a sign that I am ready to move on

    OR

Do I just have an overactive imagination that suddenly is producing smells as well?

    One ponders!!!

Seriously it was the most amazing experience and I didn't feel scared just completely calm and relaxed with nipple tingles

Our house does seem to have a certain "energy" to it and we do get some strange things happening from time to time but it truely was a beautiful moment.

I am sure DH thinks I have lost it though

Maybe it's a sign that your baby is there and will be ready whenever you are...

I have to agree with this.

What a beautiful moment to experience though.

    Oh what a lovely experience.

Everything happens for a reason.. hopefully this is a step into a new chapter for you or maybe the closure you are longing for or maybe need.

Take care of yourself and embrase it

Nae, I believe in the spiritual realm, but I also think our subconscious is very, very powerful. I wonder if this is your body/spirit's way of letting you know you are ready for the next step. (i.e. you feel perfectly warm and calm at the dream's suggestion of another baby being there with you.) That's what I would take it to mean, and I'd take great comfort in that too.
This is probably going to be a difficult journey for you - no doubt being pregnant will bring loads of memories of your time with Nikita, which I'm sure will be bittersweet So having this reassurance sounds like a really positive affirmation for you, KWIM?
All the best with the journey, mate. Take care.

    Thanks ladies for your reply.

Its interesting my bestie an dI were talking about this and she doesn't quite know what to make of it either but agrees that someone somewhere is perhaps trying to tell me that everything is ok and will be ok in the future.

would love to hear from others about this too.

NaeNae, try posting in The Metaphysical - you might get some more spiritual related responses there?
