    light bleeding at 21 weeks

I woke this morning to find about 3 spots of blood on the sheet. Nothing when I wiped. No pain or anything. And I think I was feeling the baby moving earlier, though not really sure because I'm not sure of what I'm feeling yet and maybe it was just something else going on in there...

Called the doctor, she said not to worry but to have a quiet day. I actually have an appointment with the ob tomorrow anyway so I can talk to her more tomorrow, and I had my 20-week scan 3 days ago and all was well then.

Has anyone else experienced this kind of thing? It is a bit hard not to worry a little...

(and no, we weren't DTD last night, the only thing I can think of is that yesterday afternoon/evening I walked for hours in the city, shopping, and I was tired when I got home - could a lot of walking cause this?)

i'm not sure if a lot of walking could cause a light bleed. from what i have read around the place bleeding during pregnancy can be quite normal for some people. i hope it is just one of those things in your case. just try and stay in bed as much as possible today and get to your Ob for your check up tomorrow.

Well nothing else has happened (no more blood), so I'm not freaking any more. Off to the OB this morning, will see what she says.

Maybe it was just one of those things.

Did they tell you if your placenta is sitting low?? Sometimes this can be the cause of bleeding in pregnancy. Mine is and my midwife said that I have a higher chance of bleeding during pregnancy. I havent had any so far, so good.

Hope the appointment went well and you got some answers.

My placenta is not low (it is in the front, but high enough up, apparently).

The ob said that as long as I don't have any more bleeding (and I haven't had, other than those 3 drops on the sheet Saturday night), it's not a worry. Especially since baby's heartbeat was fine today and she's moving about. So that's alright, I guess.

I'm really mostly relieved to have not had more bleeding than by what the ob said, but it was nice that she said firstly not to worry and then told me when it would be reasonable to worry (if I had more bleeding, if I had cramps, if I lost amniotic fluid).

I suspect it really was the amount of walking I did on Saturday that might have overstressed my body a bit, so I'll try to take it easier this week, and hopefully no more scary things will happen.

Thanks for your good wishes, everyone.
