So this is probably the wrong section but I wasn’t sure where to put it. Just need some opinions/advice please
Just a little history first. My baby girl (2nd child) is 10 weeks old. I finished bleeding when she was 30 days old. Had been using the withdrawal method (yeah i know, it’s not really affective) and thinking of starting the pill or something for the time being. Was starting to feel sick at night and emotional, felt similar to how I usually feel when pregnant but I was really hoping I was just imagining it. Did a test and it came out negative. Then the next day got my period. Was a little relieved. My period lasted for 6 days (as usual) but was a lot lighter than usual and I had no pains (which isn’t like me). Coz it was my first period since giving birth I was expecting it to be heavy and painful.
Anyway...period ended on Monday (the 11th) and on Thursday I noticed some brown discharge on my panty liner. Kept checking throughout the day and when I wiped I would see brownish/red. It’s still happening today and I have been feeling nauseas on and off (not to mention tired and moody). I thought it seemed like implantation bleeding but is that possible coz I had a period just a few days before? Even though that period was kind of weird.
My periods are quite different to the periods I had before DD - they are lighter but last longer and are no where near as painful. Actually, they're not really painful at all!
The brown discharge is most likely still old blood from giving birth. I bled for roughly 6 weeks and the last couple of weeks were brownish, not the bright red heavy blood.
Forgot to mention that when I started spotting/bleeding the other day, I also started getting slight cramps and discomfort in my lower back and abdomen. Whatever it is, its abnormal for me so Im still confused
Obviously no-one can give you a yes or no answer- we are all different. It is normal to have 'unusual' periods after giving birth. Your body is trying to get back to normal. My first and second period were strange. I would have days of heavy flow then days of brownish discharge...all unusual for me
I would think your having warped periods- but you never know
