did he say what the levels were? If your cycle is all over the place how can he make this assumption? My cycles were all over the place too, and im a week behind what expected, however am 17/18 weeks now with healthy baby, so I want to give you big hugs and say there is hope...How do you feel within yourself? do you feel ok? (beside the anxiety and worry this has caused).

Been thinking about your post, did your doc ask you to have your HCG monitored? you can find out if everything is ok, or go and get a dating scan next week or 2. If you have your HCG monitored for a week to see how its doubling (blood test every 3 days) then you can tell if the pregnancy is going ok. Also progesterone levels can indicate a progressive pregnancy also. Can you ask for these tests to be done?

There are some doctors out there that will only give a worst case cenario and it sounds like your doctor is one of them. Remember that doctors don't specialise in everything and your doc may not be too clued up on pregnancy. Good luck, I hope it all works out for you.

Thank you all so much for your positive posts, it means so much to me.

~Lindsay~, mickyndan and Hoody, I needed to hear there is some hope and your posts have given me that. I keep saying to myself that this could be my miracle and seeing that others have been through this and now have happy, healthy babies helps me not get too overwhelmed. Where your pregnancies smooth and straight forward once it was obvious your pregnancy was going to progress?

Thank you summerluven for your prayers, I think I may just need them!

*Belle* - He wouldn't tell me my levels, just said that they were extremely low, he said they were equivalent to being about two weeks along (which is what I am hoping is the case). I don't really know how I am feeling. I am over analysing every little feeling even though I know I shouldn't. DH keeps saying what I am feeling is probably just the normal stretching but I can't remember if this is how I felt in the early stages with Ellie. As for being monitored, he didn't mention it, maybe I will bring it up on Monday if my scan on Friday is ok.

Yesterday I had my little meltdown and cried a lot, today I am determined to focus on the positive and pray for a miracle.

    Hi Becky,

Oh sweetie I hope that you are ok today ... The doctor should have told you your levels, like the other girls have posted I would be DEMANDING that you have BT every second day to see your levels rise...... not everyone is the same and sometimes the levels take a little while to rise.... It is your boby and you have every right to push for further testing - sorry but some doctors have no idea how insenstive they are

    Becky,

After having the little "issues" at the beginning of my pregnancy with DS#2 I had a completely smooth pregnancy and birth - so it can happen. Hang in there and please let us know how you get on with your scan on Friday.

Becky hon, - I will pray with you to wish your positive and happy outcome and the baby is fine and healthy. I would call the doc back and request the blood tests... that way you will not be in limbo and will be able to get results to give your relief. Will be thinking of you.
