You might find a size 14 DD may fit you as well as the 12 E, there are extra hooks on the back so they can be let out as your BB grow.

I have also found that maternity pants are nice and loose and found that the smaller size was adequate.

can't help you with where you can buy cheaper bras.

I got a heap of maternity bras for $20 or under at Bendon at DFO during a sale. Not sure what their non-sale prices are like.

I got fitted for Mat Bra's at 20w at Myer. The lady who fitted me was lovely and explained that when fitting they allow for you to cont growing so the bras I got at 20weeks should fit me once my milk arrives, I did the same thing with DS and had no problems once milk came in and settled down. I think the main thing is to find someone who is good at fitting maternity bras and will take the time to find the right one.

The main issue I had with being an E cup is the more supportive bras aren't that attractive (nana bras!!!), in the end comfort and support had to take priority.

    Good luck!!!

You could try going bigger around the back. I am usually in a 16DD but tried an 18D from Target a few weeks ago and its a little big in the cup. Not hugely and I figure it will be fine once my milk comes in so give that a go.
I did get two bras yesterday from kmart yesterday and one is a 18DD ($15) and one is an 16E ($10 bargain).
Sizes vary alot so trial and error I say.

    Thanks for all the replies
I would go to a 14DD but even the 12's can be too big around the back for me, and the 14's I have (wired ones from before I lost weight) all slide up at the back and don't offer any real support.
Getting fitted is an option, it's just that my BBs tend to be difficult to size - I have been sized and properly fitted previously and within a few days the bras are the wrong size, and these ladies would spend at least an hour with me trying to get the right bra so it's not as though they were rushing
Nanna bras are gonna be the next big thing... oh wait... most already are (sorry had to say it) but I'm more for comfort and support than the looks - the one person who would care at the moment what my underwear looks like helped get me into this situation, so I don't think he has a right to complain
It's just soo hard to find 12E, especially when they're getting BIGGER!!

I've had trouble finding bras to fit too, I thought I had trouble before but now that I'm breastfeeding it's almost impossible. I was a similar size to you. The bras I bought when I was pregnant don't fit anymore, I got bigger in the cup, and smaller in the back, so I agree with not spending too much now because it's hard to judge what your body will do.

I went to mothers direct and got fitted there about a month or two after DS was born and they were so patient, I think I almost tried on every bra in the shop! I found one that finally works, it's made by triumph, they do bigger cup sizes in a 10, and it's not too nanna-ish either. It was pretty pricey ($80 i think) but so worth it.

I then found them at trade secret for $20! So glad I only bought one originally.

    Good luck!
