when are you actually really pregnant? I know pregnancy is counted on the first day of your last period-but your not really pregnant at that time isnt it? becuase you will be menstuating. Im currently 9 weeks at the moment and we had a scan last week and all was good. But at the beginning of the pregnancy for 3 weeks i was using a retinol cream -vitamin A cream every night. I stopped using it after 3 weeks as i found out that i was pregnant. But then i also had a treatment done on my skin (this was prior to before i found out i was preg)called photodynamic therapy where a topical 5ala amino acid was applied to my skin and then it was activited by a blue light(which is harmless) im only concerned about the cream. I called the place and they said that this treatment falls in the unknown category where they are not sure what the effects are on preg women, therefore they dont reccommend it. but they said it would have been very very little that would have gone into my bloodstream. sooooo...when does the baby absorb things from our bloodstream? Also when i found out that i was preg i tested 2 days after the day that i was supposed to get my period and got the faintest faintest line so would that have meant i ovulated very late is it that conception occurs 5 days prior?? if that was the case then it wouldnt matter about the treatment that i had on my skin because i had it done about a week before.
??? I need advice pleease!!! sorry for long post!!
i wouldn't worry about it, though i know it's stressful. Before i found out i was pregnant with this one, i was drinking some alcohol here and there, but this baby's fine
Because you had these treatments before you even knew you were pregnant, i wouldn't worry. the amount that would have actually gone to baby would have been very minimal, and even then, organ formation and all that doesn't start properly until 5 weeks or so, which by then you had stopped taking the cream. So don't stress, everything should be fine. Babies are surprisingly resilient
