    Question Not enough fluid?

I am going with a friend who is 34-35 weeks pregnant to get a scan this arvo as her doc says there is less fluid than he would like. What does this mean? Has anyone else had this?

hi, when you say that the doc says there is less fluid then he would like, how does he know this? from previous ultra sounds?
we all produce different amounts of amniotic fluid, and it replenishes all the time.

i wish her all the best

    Hi there
There is an actualy condition where there is too little fluid in the sac.
It was queried this was my case iwth DD as i didnt get any bigger in size from 33-39 weeks, although DD was growing correctly.

It is actually a specialised Ultrasound that took about 30 minutes where they have to measure all the fluid specifically.

They did this for me and gave me the all clear (dd was just doing tight yoga positions lol).

    Did your sonographer do this?

I'm not sure how the doctor knew - I will ask later. I hadn't heard of it before and was wondering what they would do if there wasn't enough fluid. I know at 35 weeks she will be fine though.

    Hey
I was told i had low fluid levels, but they werent dangerously low so they didnt take any action.
I hope everything goes okay with your friend.
