That's great that it all went well today. You were lucky being able to have your man in with you. With my amnio I was not allowed to have my partner with me as the OB did not want any possible distractions but I didn't find that out til two minutes before having it done.

I also paid for the FISH results. I found that once I had those results back I felt more relaxed about it all, but there was still a worry in the back of my mind until the final results came in and matched them. I did quite a bit of research on forums about FISH results compared to final results & only came across one person who'd actually had different results come in after 10 days (and loads & loads of ladies that matched) so I think it is very rare for the early results to be wrong.

I hope your wait is not too stressful & remember to keep your mind busy while you wait. I found it very difficult to concentrate at work the next day & just couldn't get the possible results out of my mind.

Well done Aussie. It's sounds as though it was relatively uneventful.

My DH was in with me during my amnio - he had to sit down as he started to faint when the needle went in. The Dr (surgeon) who performed my procedure was also extraordinary!

Let us know what the results are!!
