Aussiegirl - I only just read your story and I, too, am very sorry about what's happened. It's a horrible choice to have to make - I fully understand your anguish as I have been through the exact same experience. Just wanted to offer you a bit of hope for the future - I have since gone onto give birth to a 100% healthy baby girl, and am currrently pregnant with another one - and this one looks good too. My Ob, who is very across the issue of problems with bubs, told me he has never seen the same problem (DS) occur twice to one person, and his is going by a stack of research done in Aussie and overseas. I know this might not ease your pain right now - but if you do decide to try again, you have a very very high chance of everything being fine next time. I really am sorry for your loss, and wish you the very best for the future.
