    Nub theory?

Was the nub theory right for you, if you had a look at the nub and had a guess?

Just wondering if anyone has had any personal experience with it being right/wrong.

    Thanks!

Yep it was right for us both times.

EDITED TO ADD: Um, I hope LOL, considering DD2 isn't born yet, I can't actually say with 100% certainty lol

I'm not sure if I know what you mean? Are you talking about seeing the baby on the 12 week ultrasound? Both DH and I thought a girl with our most recent bub and were correct. It was only at that scan, that DH really started talking about a girl.

I know of lots of people where it has been correct, but then others where it was off. I guess it's not 100% reliable. Did you get a good nub shot of your bub on the way?

I think I did Trish; and several nub theory obsessed people have picked girl, and it went through my head during the scan as well but will have to wait and see in another 4-5wks lol

Oooh, well I have my fingers tightly crossed that they are right! It's so painful not knowing, I was so impatient with all of my babies! I posted my scan photos on BB when I was 12 weeks with DD and most people guessed girl, although I didn't get a clear nub shot, it was a potty shot that looked girly (and I know you can't rely on them at that gestation!). I didn't mind which gender I had, but the not knowing nearly killed me I tells ya!

With an experienced sonographer it's meant to be above 80% accurate

With DD2 my sonographer told DH that he was 80% certain of the gender and secretly told him. Hubby then had it confirmed (secretly still) at 16 and 19 week scan, lol. It was kept a secret from me, so when DD came out and hubby asked if I saw what it was I said "It's a boy!". The look on his face was priceless until I told him "just kidding. It's a girl" hahaha.
