Hi Kateo, thanks for your post. After my ectopic, the Dr we saw at the hospital advised me that if I did get pregnant again that I would definitely have GD and Pre eclampsia. After all the losses over the past 18mnths (resulting in weight gain) DH and I had already decided to call it a day and we were waiting to have the other tube removed when we discovered I was expecting again, and to be honest we didn't think we would get this far with this pregnancy, but it is looking like we have a sticky one

Unfortunately I am quite unfit with the weight and want to do what I can to improve the situation, but suffering from horrendous sickness, which is really debilitating. I guess I am panicking more than anything and what the Dr told me is playing on my mind - my GP at the time (used to be an obstetrician) told me that it was by no means guaranteed that either would happen and that it would be ok to have a lower calorie intake, around 1800 per day, providing it was a healthy balanced diet. We have moved to regional WA and I don't have the same relationship with my new GP.

I'm not as concerned about the GD, although it does concern me, as I am about the pre-eclampsia as I tend to suffer from raised bp in pregnancy anyway and from what I can tell that is potentially far more serious that GD.

Anyway, thanks for listening to my ramble and congratulations for young Harry.
