Congratulations Trish ! I hope your both doing well, and excellent news back to normal weight well done

I ended up gaining 5-6kg, and birthed a 4.5kg son.
Now at 2 days PP, Im back to my starting weight.

    Hi ladies,

Just thought I'd pop into this thread and ask if anyone else has experienced their caregivers having trouble finding baby heartbeat using the doppler?

At both my 20 and 24 week appointments they had trouble. The first one - the OB said that it was due to "maternal padding" (oh the shame) and then at the next the appointment the midwife said that they kept picking up the cord and it must have been a really long cord. My baby also has arrythmia (skipping beats) which is going to be investigated further this week, so maybe that also affected it.

Hi Bloom, my OB had trouble with the Doppler until I was 36 weeks - he would just switch to the ultrasound and no dramas

Thanks Emma - I find it quite embarassing. Did your ob make a big deal out of it?

No, he was gorgeous about it. He never made a big deal about me standing on the scales either and never watched me weigh myself. So nice to be allowed that dignity
