Hi Sherie - my experience is yes to engaging, but no to baby turning. I have a "crooked pelvis" (I was born with it) and my first couldn't engage (he was head down from about 36 weeks, but posterior), I had 12 hours labour - my contractions were 2 mins apart and I was only 3cm dilated as his head wasn't far enough down to cause pressure on the cervix. Had to have emergency caesar when he went into distress. With my 2nd bub I saw a "pregnancy specialist" chiro - she was BRILLIANT!! but unfortunately I developed a different complication at 35 weeks and had to have another emergency caesar, although Jesse's head was engaged and he was positioned correctly. Again this pregnancy bubs has turned head down 2 weeks ago and is facing the right way (yay for my back!!), so I def. recommend specialist chiropractic!! (although now that it's head down my pelvic floor is crying for some relief!!!). Ring a chiro and ask over the phone maybe...
