Please read - I'm freaking out

Well I have a bit of an update. My doctor sent me for an ultrasound the Monday after all this started but I had to wait til all the public holidays were over. I had a little bit more brown mucus over the Christmas weekend but no cramping. Finally got my ultrasound yesterday when I should've been 7 weeks 3 days.

They did an abdominal ultrasound & only found a gestational sac measuring at 5 weeks 4 days. The sonographer said it looked good and had implanted well but I was crying saying I was sure of my dates. She told me not to worry & stranger things happen but I was still very upset yesterday.
I still have some pregnancy symptoms so don't know what to think. I asked for HCG levels to be done, had one today, will have another tomorrow & the last on Tuesday. Besides that I'm booked in for another ultrasound in 2 more weeks. It's such a long time away but at least the HCG will give us an idea of what to expect in the meantime.

I feel like I'm in limbo - I thought I'd have an answer after 10 days of waiting & here I am still waiting. I want this baby so much

I was just reading through allthis and suddenly had a thought and I may be way off but thought its best to cover everything so I should mention it. You said above that the day when you got the results back from the U/S that you thought you were 7wks 3 days but the doctor told you the sac was only measuring 5wks 4days (13 days behind your dates). Could it be that the sac was measuring 5wks 4 days on the day of the ultrasound not the day you got the results back? I dont know if I am making sense or not but if I am right, you wouldnt be as far out as you think. It might be something worth clarifying with the doctor.

Oh thanks for that sweetie, unfortunately that is what the sonographer said to me while we were having the ultrasound done.

They were out a week with my first scan... I had DD#2 on my cycle due date. I hope it was just the silly machine telling you the wrong date and the bleeding is nothing. thinking of you

Thanks for thinking of me girls. As I said in my other thread, have had some bad cramps with more spotting over the weekend.

I didn't hear back from my GP on Friday so will have to wait til Tuesdays results which will tell us more anyway.

All I can say is that my boobs are getting smaller & I just don't feel pregnant anymore. I think my body knows more than my head right now
