I had exactly what you described from around 16 weeks with Tristan, around 18ish weeks I started losing my plug. The OB was not concerned at all as the mucous plug itself can re-generate.

The back pain worries me a bit, but if it was a once off then I probably wouldn't worry. If it does continue be sure to get checked out. Better to lose a few hours and know everything is ok than sit worrying.

    Hi Clover
I need to ask a few Q’s before I can answer.
Does this loss happen when you first get out of bed?
    Is it smelly?
Is it frothy? Even a little
How long did your back pain last?
    Are you itchy?
Is the loss thick like when you blow your nose or it more like a runny nose?
If you are a little embarrassed to answer here you can PM me

    No, thats ok.
Not smelly, frothy or itchy at all. The first time I noticed it was Sunday night, about the size of a 20c piece, then yesterday morning, about the size of a 5c piece & tonight. The amount was probably between the other 2.
Its hard to describe what it was like. It wasn't runny. It was kinda thick & stringy, but not gluggy like glue, lol. I hope that made sense?
Oh, & the back pain lasted for about an hour. Just a constant ache.

Is it stringy like CM can be?

No, well I've only seen it once after getting out of bed. Yesterday morning. The other 2 times were more after cooking dinner.
I think its more stringy. I don't know. I've never had cm like it before, so can't be sure.
To me it was more like stringy cheese. Thats a better description I think.
