    Plus Size Maternity Clothes

Soooo the place I bought from with DD has closed. Does anyone know a good reputable website or a shop I can actually go to? I am a size 18-22 in the bottom depending on make/fabric etc. Currently wear size 18 pre-maternity but find most maternity stores don't stock stuff to fit my bottom half. I'm getting to the point where I need to be proactive about finding work pants and jeans or I may just wake up one day and not fit into anything!

Are you seriously an 18-22 on bottom??? I can't believe that Are you sure? You've been looking pretty fine these days

Have you tried Ripe for work clothes? I got my work pants from there but I don't know about sizes sorry

Not much help here. Apart from I hope a little ego boost

Check out Autograph. It does depend on the style at the time, but through both of my pregnancies, most of my "maternity" clothes came from there. Honestly I had the best jeans (bought too big when I was bigger), worked so well as maternity, just needed a band over the top right near the end.

    OP. Thanks hon!

No, not 100% on sizes but I am wearing a size 18 Ponte pant from autograph for work at the moment. I think my jeans from there are a 20. I couldn't face the humiliation of going into a mainstream shop and not fitting into anything. And I only want to make the one lot of purchases. I don't want to have to buy bigger in a few months. And given how much weight I've already put on... I weighed at work today and have put on 5Kg already. DEVASTATING!!!!!

EDIT: I am wearing their jeans now Astrid. Thanks for the tip. The bum and leg fit fine but the tummy is getting uncomfortable. I have a pair of leggings from there which are super comfy but I only wear under a dress...

Try the 'moda'' section of target.
I bought some work pants in there last pregnancy.
Hard to describe, but they had the waistband that you could fold down or up if that makes sense.
    Very accommodating to pregnancy.
I probably have a pair here that you could have too.

I just made a purchase from motherhood.com. Their shipping is a bit on the expensive side, but I got a pair of jeans and 2 tops for $90 not including shipping. They have a huge range of clothes, much better than most places I've found for us bigger girls. Can let you know what the quality is like once I receive them.

I've got a belly band so have just been using that so far and my pre pregnancy jeans. I did get a pair of black yoga pants from Dorothy Perkins but their shipping was so slow and customer service was appalling so I personally won't buy anything else from them. I have also got a pair of lovable yoga pants which are great, though quite a light fabric so chilly in winter. I'm a 20ish pre pregnancy and the size 18/XXL fits really well. Also have a size 16/XL which fits but is much more fitted, so the sizing is pretty generous.

I am size 18 too - I got some fabulous stretchy but flattering work pants and 3/4 pants from Myer in the Ladies BIB (Big is Beautiful?) section, nice wide waistband that is super comfortable. Loved 'em so much I went back and got more and have practically lived in them this pregnancy

Kmart have some lovely cheap maternity tops too - not a huge range and the size 18's seem to sell quickly, but I have a few staple pieces from there too

yoga roll down pants are the bomb love
target have Moda ones for around $20
they come in size 18-24 and are stretchy as all buggery and you can wear them over or under your stomach

also they best feeding singlets for us bigger girls are the loveable brand ones
They are generous in size, hard wearing (been wearing them daily for 31/2 years and they are still going) and keep the girls in place

When i was pg with boof, i got a pair of roll down 3/4 pants and wore them all the time (it was summer)
Now i hang out in black yoga roll down pants every day lol

i used a belly belt with my twins pg with my work pants and that worked for quite a few weeks
    hugs xxx

    Niddrie is essendon.
If you make a trip to try things on and get them to order things in I generally go to FIL's once every couple of weeks (he lives around the corner) so could pick things up.
