Possible Food Poisoning - 29wks PG

Ok so we had spag bol last night, i cooked it last week, let it cool after tea then chucked it in containers and into the freezer.

Last night defrosted it in the microwave then zapped it to COOK it, this morn have woken up vomiting and with diarrhea.. i feel disgusting.

What risks are there to my baby?
She is still moving round, woke her up in the middle of it all this morn with a pokes which made it worse as every time she moved i wanted to be sick

I am assuming this is the cause, DP and i were farting (sorry TMI) all night and DD has been this morn.. but she always does so not sure. Neither of them have been sick and am about to change DD's nappy so hoping i haven't made her sick.

    TIA

    Anybody?

Spoke to nurse on call and they said to go to the Dr's, just in case.. am heading in now!
Scary, had a small amount of blood in my spew (sorry) this morn which i think was from where i had my teeth out, now it's stopped so has the spots where the teeth were.. but better to be safe.

Oh yucky, you poor thing . The blood probably is from your exo sites, just the vomiting has disturbed the clots. But yeah, best to be checked. At some stage, when you're up to it, try some more warm salt rinses, just to keep the area clean and free from infection.

Good luck with the tummy thing, hope it's all gone soon

If it is food poisoning it does not sound too bad (from a medical point of view). I'm sure that your baby will be unharmed

Thanks everyone, went to the Dr's and had to do a stool sample, he said results will be back in a couple of days, if it is food poisoning they will give me AB's just to clear mine and bubs systems.

Had to go to the shopping centre for stuff for DD and the chemist for me to get gastrolite icypoles went to the toilet 5 times in 45min... now off to lay on the couch while DD has a sleep and hope she behaves herself this arvo... too hot to deal with being sick and her horrible teething.

    Thanks again.

Oh you poor thing! The last thing you need. And it sounds like you took perfect precautions - cooling, freezing, reheating.

It just goes to show, you be so careful with what you eat and still have a dodgy moment. In my research on sushi in pregnancy, I came across SO many women who got FP from dodgy burritos, stew, a baked potato etc. - yet no one is warning women off burritos! Just a spot of bad luck I'd say - I hope you are feeling better soon!

I got food poisoning when I was also about 29 weeks - I was sick as anything, vomiting and diarrhoea for 12 hours, and felt like crap for the next couple of days. BUT bub was fine. Hope you feel better soon!
