I feel so stupid asking this, but I have no idea what each term means? I no post natal is after bubs is born . . . . . . whats the difference between pre and ante natal?
Seenabeena,
Youve prob heard of ante natal clinics - where you go throughout the duration of your pregnancy for checkups etc. This is what our hospital calls them anyway.
pre·na·tal
Existing or occurring before birth: prenatal medical care.
A descriptive term for the period between conception and birth.
Preceding birth. Also called antenatal.
an·te·na·tal
Occurring before birth; prenatal: antenatal diagnostic procedures.
Thanks Fee so that means that the both basically mean the same thing. Ocuring before birth.
So that means the receptionist at my Doc. surgery is just a rude b!tch! When I rang up to make an appointment the other day I said it was a p-renatal appointment and she was very rude and basically made out like I was an idiot who didn't know what I was talking about so I said okay maybe it's an antenatal app. Again more rudeness from her when she aggreed that antenatal was infact what I was booking in for  as if there was no such thing as prenatal
