we found out Liam was a boy at 12 weeks, and the tech told me you could see at 12 weeks, depending on bub behaving.
go pink vibes![]()
I saw a penis at my eldest sons 13wk scan but the tech just winked and said she couldnt confirm at that gestation. No doubt about it though he was boy through and through.
We found out it was another boy with our second at the 19wk scan, the tech wouldnt even let me peek at my 12wk one (had his cord between his legs anyway).
Im hoping at my 13wk scan today week theyll have a little looksie for me but obviously I know its a 50-50 that whatever they guess will be right.
Just curious to know if anyone else found out before 19wk scan.

Ta chrissyIm hoping theyll peek cause I ask them to with the disclaimer that I know its never 100% blah blah blah.
I found out on Saturday with my Twins what we were having. My hubby even picked which twin was which. Although I am not racing out to buy colour appropriate clothes until after the 20 week scan
Wow, I'm impressed that anyone can tell at 13 weeks. Our OB told us 90% boy at a 15 week scan, and he was right. I guess boys are easier to pick early too.
I hope you get to find out!!
13 weeks with this one.
I asked for him to look but said I know he might not be able to see or tell. But he was right.
I have read alot that these days its pretty common to pickt he sex at the 12 week scan with pretty good chances of it being right.
I knew at 16 weeks but only because we had an amnio. I wouln't have trusted a scan anyway as I know someone who had 8 scans and was told at each one it was a boy but it was a girl.
My 13 week scan with Bonnie my tech wouldn't hazard a guess, but it was obvious that she was a girlIf you get a good enough tech it should be easy enough to get a good idea of bub's gender. Sure it's not 100%, but it may give you an idea
Here's hoping for PINK!!
We found out at 17 weeks. I asked at our 12 week scan but the sonographer looked at me like I was an idiot and aid it was way too early.
Anna, our sonographer told us at our 12 wk scan that he thought DS was a boy...although we took it with a grain of salt (I thought it would have been pretty inaccurate at 12 wks) and then kinda forgot about it for the rest of the pregnancy. We decided at our 20 wk scan that we'd wait to find out.
Wasn't until after he was born that we said 'hey, he was right!'
Personally, if I'd really had a preference about gender, I would have waited till 20 wks to have it confirmed. I just think at 12 wks they are much more likely to get it wrong and that could have been disappointing.
We were by dating 12w2d yesterday but our little boy measured 13 wks exact... yep definitely a boy, could see several times throughout the scan and in the 3D mode as well.
Samuel we could tell on his NT scan at 12w5d. Girls I think are harder to detect early on but boys can be clear as!!!!
hugs
Jude
At our NT scan I thought that maybe I saw a pair of legs opened wide viewed from the bum upwards and clearly saw boy's bits, but then I also thought later on that bub had its legs crossed and the sonographer said they weren't.
We showed our DVD to a group of friends the other night and one of my friends, who's a sonographer, said she thought she could tell what sex bub was, but wouldn't say what she guessed, said the umbilical cord is often mistaken for a willy. I had my dates at 12w on the dot (charting), the bub measured 12w 5d.
We'll ask to find out at the next scan at 18w 3d.
With Ash we found out at 12 week scan and were told it was 90% accurate at that stage, it was a 3d scan which is alot clearer than the 2d ones.
We were told at 14 weeks that Toby was a girl....obviously that was a bit wrong!![]()
