    Red and blotchy.. eeek!

    Here's a curly one...
For the last few weeks... since i was around 15 weeks UTD.. im now as you can see in my ticker 21 weeks... I have had two red patches ...blotchy ones on my chin. they will not go away but appear to be very dry. Has anyone else experienced this during their pregnancy and if so what in heavens name gets rid of it!

Bit of Sorberlene cream with make up over the top...My skin got angry angry red on my chest when I was pregnant with DD and this time again but not so bad. It cleared up pretty quick once I had the baby but I got sick of people asking about my 'rash'
My face goes a bit red and blothcy too but I manage to cover it pretty well with makeup...oh the joys!

sounds like my skin when pregnant! Not nice is it? like a heap of tiny headless pimples. I got these on my face and chest.
I found not using anything harsh or stripping (cleansers, body washes etc) helped, as did using a non perfumed moisturiser, lots.
you probably dont want to know, but mine didnt go away till about 3 weeks after birth, I used macadamia oil as a moisturiser afterwards, that stuff is devine. and cleared it all up eventually. I think its a hormonal thing.

Kanda, I know how you feel hun, so for you! My face is exactly the same, so so dry all over, and for some reason, the right side is all red and blotchy, looks like a rash.

I was reading in in 'what to expect when you're expecting' last night that often in pregnancy your skin can suddenly become irritated by products you've always used. Luckily it says skin should return to normal after birth. So maybe you could try some different products for sensitive skin perhaps???

Atm I am just drenching my skin with moisturiser, and as for covering it up, I find makeup useless cos my skin is so dry, it gets flaky after a bit. So I'm pretty much out and proud with my red blotchy skin!

yep, thats normal in pregnancy too, but it should all go back to normal! hormones are responsible for some nasty pregnancy stuff!!
